NICARAGUA-COLOMBIA: Friction on the disputed maritime border

If the claims made by some Colombians are confirmed, Nicaragua has been conducting probing manoeuvres along another of its contentious borders, the maritime one with Colombia, in the Caribbean. Bogotá has despatched a team of experts to verify the claims, while the Nicaraguan military have announced that they will continue to patrol their own waters.
